Our Mission

The Georgia Festival of Music (GFM) fosters a vibrant classical music scene in Atlanta by presenting exceptional intimate chamber orchestra performances in unique spaces and collaborating with local arts and cultural organizations. Inspired by the Academy of St.Martin in the Fields, GFM aspires to become Georgia's premier chamber orchestra.

GFM 2024

Be a part of a grand classical musical event with the launch of The Georgia Festival of Music ("GFM") - a new classical orchestral music festival, launching on Saturday, 22 June 2024, in partnership with First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. GFM will feature members of the New American Sinfonietta under the baton of Maestro Michael Palmer, bringing together Music and Art in Concert.  Get ready to be mesmerized by the soulful symphonies and enchanting melodies that will leave you spellbound. Make plans to be a part of this special concert experience.

 

PROGRAM:

  • Mozart - The Marriage of Figaro (Overture)

  • Mozart - Symphony No. 35 “Haffner” (Mvt 2)

  • Beethoven - Symphony No. 4 (Mvt 1)

  • Haydn - Symphony No. 92 “Oxford”

This concert is co-presented with Concerts @ First.  Free admission. Donations welcome to support future endeavors.
